Forums - General - I hate Sarah Palin!

Yeah that sucked that she died. Del Martin was a hero. Her and Phyllis Lyon are celebrities in San Francisco, and had season passes to the Giants games all the time. They basically started the lesbian rights movement, after they tried to join the male gay rights movement, and the men told them to wait outside and make coffee.

Gay men in the 50's were possibly more sexist than straight men in the 50's.

Anyway, even though I'm crazy and helping smear the Palins, if it comes down to performing a wedding for them either way, I'm game. I love Alaska.

Interesting sidenote: Sarah Palin's vagina is so strong, it was used as the secret location where they hid Dick Cheney in the days following 9-11.

The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.

@Sqrl, well then, if the guy is a drunk who drinks in his squad car and tazered her nephew and whatnot, then why didn't he get fired before the divorce?

Did you bother to read what I wrote?  Read it again, then respond.  I quite clearly called them allegations and pointed out the need for more information. Jumping to conclusions about what I've wrote and then asking me to defend them is not a platform for a reasoned debate.

Perhaps with a timeline of events as they are alleged, and an understanding of what went on behind the scenes of any possible charges or IA investigations into those charges I could answer that question.  But without those things I would be taking a stab in the dark, as would you.

Yes I  read what you wrote.

Okay, I read it again.  Nothing changed.

Oh crap, the post I'm quoting just doubled in size within the time I was reading your last post and hit Quote.

I said "if" and was asking a hypothetical.  If somebody's drunk on the job, you fire them before there's family drama.  If they're not drunk on the job, you don't make up a bunch of crap after there's family drama.  I don't know what happened, but the other guy they fired says they called him 24 times to pressure him to fire Wooten, and Palin's husband has already admitted to pressuring the guy to fire Wooten.  I'll just leave it at this: "It's fishy as hell."  I'll reserve judgment beyond how fishy it is until October, unless there's a big break in the case and more shit hits the fan.

And since McCain didn't vet her at all, he didn't know she had a private lawyer to defend her during the investigation.

The investigation is due to file their report on October 31st.  It's like McCain picked the candidate based on the biggest surprise right before we vote.  Or it's like he said, he just had a gut feeling that she was his soul mate.

The very essence of my point was that we should not fall into the trap you are falling into...and this isn't the first time you've done that..but I won't bring up old threads.

In this case we have even less information and yet you still want to press forward to a conclusion for some reason.  Fine, then please find the following information (note that we will need all of it):  when the divorce happened, when the tazer incident happened, when the drinking in the squad car happened, when the death threat happened, when the first attempt at firing happened, when any and all subsequent attempts at firing happened, phone records and emails regarding those firing related correspondance, when she fired the PSC,  what the circumstance of the divorce were, some corroboration on the issue of whether she even tried to get the cop fired to begin with (it is only an allegation at this point), etc...etc...etc...

Once you get that information (and probably even more than that) we can draw a valid conclusion, before then its all a political game to demonize first and worry about the damage later.

PS - I like you a lot more outside of politics.

I did a little research, and it's very interesting, and I think every person involved on both sides of the investigation is totally nuts.  It's great stuff.  But all I have to say is this part, which is hilarious:

They filed for the divorce in April 2005 and started trying to get Wooten fired in August, over a year before she became governor, and the divorce went to trial in October 2005.  The judge was confused as to why they wanted Wooten to lose his job, because then he wouldn't make any money and wouldn't be able to pay child support.  The judge said:

"It appears for the world that Ms. McCann and her family have decided to take off for the guy's livelihood -- that the bitterness of whatever who did what to whom has overridden good judgment.  Aesop told us not to slay the goose who lays the golden egg. For whatever reason, people are trying to slay the goose here and it tends to diminish his earning capacity."

They suspended Wooten for 5 days, but they kept battling until Palin became governor and then potential veep and everybody got 10x crazier.

P.S. I like myself a lot more outside of politics too!  I'm glad this only happens every 2 years, and only half of them make me this crazy.

1. Your right. Not illegal. But still a flagrant abuse that would leave her completely fucked.

2. which is why I said "if true" The investigation is to determine whether it's true or not.

3. The studies and facts already discredit abstinence only education programs. sex education already has been validated. The problem is that Sarah Palin is a proponent of a system that doesn't work in spite of evidence to the contrary. The fact that her own daughter has slipped through the gaping cracks in absitence only education is more than "just an anecdote", it raises the question of how can Palin possibly stick to her guns on such an ineffective policy when it's effects have hit so close to home.

As for the exploitation of Bristol. yeah, I think they'll drag her through the mud for it when, like I said in my first post, it means nothing about her as a person or Palin as a mother, but as the daughter of a vice presidential candidate, that happens.

1) Cleared that up~

2) The point I was making to you wasn't about waiting for more info, I was actually just adding to the allegations list since it is pertinant information that should be included in any recounting of the story.  The bit about waiting for more info was added to establish it as part of my position, not to ridicule you.

3) I'm not going to get into a debate on the side I disagree with, but I will say it is not as clear cut as you are making it out to be. Just as an example Alaska is one of 25 states that explicitly allows minors access to contraceptives for all reasons, and I can't find anything that says Alaska has a statewide abstinance only education policy anyways. This is another case where we don't have all the facts and you could be making conclusions about them based on assumptions.  I'll leave it at that.

The point I want to make is that the line about "that happens" is a copout.  If you agree that its wrong to exploit the girl by using her to advance the agenda then you should be willing to stand up and say so and condemn those who are doing it.  There are a lot of sleazy ways to advance a political agenda, but if folks want to stand around and bitch about how nasty things are they have to be willing to speak up and do something about it.

If more people actually did stand up and object to this type of politics by rejecting it we might actually make some progress towards a civilized debate.  Sadly many people find that kind of change hard to believe in.

To Each Man, Responsibility

So Maher said "Maverick and the MILF".
The rumor now is that Carville has said it should be "VPILF". I wonder how Matlin will interpret that.

Around the Network

On 4chan they were graduating her from MILF to GILF to VPILF yesterday when the first rumors about Bristol's pregnancy broke out. If they have her way she'll be all 3.

And as governor, she still poses on motorcycles and stuff for raffles. It's awesome.

Its an interesting tidbit, but it doesn't really add any clarity to the issue. We pretty much need to wait for the probe to complete it's work.

/braces for probe jokes

PROBE THIS!

See I know you are slipping Rubang..cause if you were on your game you would have pointed out that no woman looks that good after 5 kids...clearly she could have only had 4 at most.

But I think we both know its a photoshopped pic...everyone knows its never warm enough to wear a Bikini (especially Rocketpig) in Alaska, and it is impossible that she could have taken the picture anywhere else.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Alaskan summers are 6 months long! I was there for one when I was 13. I had family up there back then. Sun would stay up until 9 or 10 pm. Bears everywhere. Place makes people crazy. I even went to an Alaskan beach. Didn't see any bikinis though.
