Not Snake? Or someone badass? A burlap sack appearing in 1 game? Honestly, I don't see that working too well. Mario was just a hit, then Sonic was designed to be Mario's rival, so he went big. Then Crash came in as Sony's mascot. But he went multiconsole and I guess Sony's mascot was Phil Harrison for a while. Then Master Cheif for Microsoft. And now. Burlap sackman!

I don't even see how it moves! It's like the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz. He has no brain, yet moving talking and sing all come naturally. He should just be like a burlap sack. Wait...

It's a step up from Crash, imo.

I've said it before. Mascots make themselves, you don't make them. Very risky decision for Sony, but if LBP really is huge then it could pay off. If it isn't then this will be very embarrassing for them. I kinda hope it goes down the drain so it can serve as a warning to anyone else who might get a similar idea.

Snake is a third-party character, and he appears on games for other systems (MGS2 for Xbox, Twin Snakes for GC).

Either way, I really don't see the appeal of the sackboy; I always thought they looked kind of dopey. This'll probably be another passing "Crash Bandicoot" type of deal.

It's a sack. Like the doll they use in Child Molestation trails so the kid can show where the pedo touched the poor child. Other then that nothing. I'm just surprised they're trying to pull off a casual look. Ps3=Hardcore imo.
