Why do you think the Japanese just refuse to really give the Xbox brand a chance?....no matter how many exclusive JRPGs MS throws at them, they remain distant and indifferent.

Shouldn't the Arcade version appeal to the Japanese the most (more so than other regions at least)? I'm curious how this would affect sales - is there any info on which skus are being bought?

Import prices rarely ever reflect this. Of course they're all in Japanese, but as long as you can read Kanji and comprehend spoken Japanese, you'll be straight. |
Yea, i want them to be in Japanese so i can perfect my japanese while playing video games. Not only playing the game in Japanese but voice chat online is another good thing. Should be able to get some good western games for really cheap too.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Because most Japanese are buying the Wii.
That includes the "traditional" audience for consoles (a large portion of which being children) and also the most family friendly console for those aging gamers who now have kids of their own.
The Xbox has evolved into a fairly small niche in Japan and about the only thing going for it in that region is the active effort by MS to make it the JRPG development platform of choice, which they have more or less been successful at.
So the games that should appeal to the traditional Japanese player are definitely there, but the question is, how big is the JRPG market in Japan among aging gamers who haven't already bought a Wii?
We'll find out soon enough whether price really makes that much of a difference in Japan.
let we see media crate number for the next 2 week.

only 20 USD
so if someone want to buy Japan Xbox 360, i think it is o.K
Japan X360 are compatible with asia region too
Beja - How is it desperate? It's a few dollars cheaper than the US version.
Long time coming. Good to see that they are cutting the price the same day Infinite Undiscovery comes out. Hopefully this boosts IU and X360 sales. The X360 should get over 10,000 that week.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
remember this is big price cut for xbox, PS3 already have several price cut
also MS still make a profit even with this price cut. also i think Japan will have
Jasper mainboard first.
