Forums - Nintendo - Will Crystal Bearers even shown up? TGS perhaps?

is Square Enix still stubborn about the Wii till now? Its been already 2 years and we still not heard of ANY GAME except Crystal Bearers that came from them. I mean, SEGA did it, EA did it, Namco did it, CAPCOM did it, for the sake of discussion even Ubi did it. Theyre making Wii a cash cow already and theyre improving as time passes. What about Squeenix? And still we never see even a quick glance about Crystal bearers? Sheesh...

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

Actually its been 1 year. The second trailer was released May 2007.

When I saw the trailer last year, I was ecstatic and could hardly wait to play it. I even hadthe most amazing dream of how great the game looked/felt/played. I'm starving for any information.

Please SE =( Give me something on which to nibble in the meantime...

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

I think we will never heard for Square Enix anytime soon, theyre just like Konami atleast Ubi makes worthwile games on the Wii. After the FF XIII hype was over Square Enix seem desperate that they make FF XIII on 360. Sorry for Square Enix fans out there...

all we know is that it is still in development. and yeah i think SE should support the wii more. the said they wanted to be fairly distributed across all platforms but theve been very 360 biased. the wii has only got chocobos dungeon

Dont forget Swords but yeah, Squeenix have no support for the Wii atleast some developers fills in the gap of our RPG needs...

You do realize that the 360 has only gotten two games from SE so far. Inifinate Undiscovery, and FFXI(mmo). And the only one left is star ocean and FFXIII. It only has two exclusives from SE. The wii has 3 exclusives. So I don't see your reasoning. SE is heavily supporting handhelds right now. The ds gets like 10 SE games a year now, and the psp about 3-5. So I would say they are more DS bias more than anything.

I would wait until AFTER TGS to chew Square Enix out. They definitely have something in the works for the Wii. They may have hit a stumbling block with Crystal Bearers but the Wii is to muchof a cash cow for SE to pass up.

What I expect them to announce at TGS for the Wii: Mana (SD5?), Final Fantasy Haeresis XIII
Possibility: KH3 (really I'm not expecting this until TGS 09), SaGa, and maybe a new IP

yeah DS does get the best support (althought a lot are remakes) but i was thinking purely in terms of consoles. DQ swords and chocobos dungoen(two spin offs) isnt the same level of support as IU, star ocean 4 and FFXIII. crystal bearers would help even up this as despite it being a sequel to a spinoff it still looks like it could be an AAA game. i hope SE have something else in development for wii as well

Um Crystal Chronicles isn't a spinoff. Its more of a series of its own with Final Fantasy in its name. As for Dragon Quest Swords, yes that is a bad game. Chocobo Dungeon's isn't a bad game though, and actually does get some nice reviews, yeah its not Star Ocean 4, but it is still support. Not to mention it is better received critically than Infinate Undiscovery. I'm sure we will see more of Crystal Bearers, and maybe even some new games from SE at TGS. They've been trying to avoid the Wii for a while now, but I'm afraid they can't afford it now.
