This is so great. I love drama like this.

Time will reveal the truth to all of these allegations. I agree with Rubang as well about the whole covering it up part, or if she wasn't the IDIOTIC let's take a flight for almost 9 hours even though I'm in labour with my 5th kid.

My wife has had THREE kids. First kid labour lasted 15 hours. Second kid, labour lasted 12. Our LAST kid, it lasted 10. Assuming her 4th and 5th making that even faster, add some time for her being in shape and not having a kid for quite some time, she'd have had the kid just after getting off the plane, unless she was prairie dogging that little guy. :P

And for whomever said it was a persons life, BIG FUCKING DEAL. She's in the spotlight now, and closets will be emptied of any skeletons. It's just how it works, so get over it.

So I got up this morning and I checked out a couple of blogs and the more I read the more silly this story becomes ...

The probablility that Trig would be born with Downs Syndrome with a 17 year old mother are (about) 1 in 1,500 and if his mother is 43 the probablility becomes (about) 1 in 50; on top of this Palin knew she was having a child with Downs Syndrome before Trig was born, which requires an amniocentesis test which are almost always given to pregnant women in there 40s but almost never given to pregnant teenagers.

On top of this it was reported that Palin's water did not break before she decided to fly home to Alaska but she was experiencing ambiotic fluid leakage; which (appearantly) is a fairly common problem for pregnant women late in their pregnancy, in particular when they remain highly active. Now, according to what I have read online about this, a mother would most likely be advised to be on 'modified bed rest' and be observed to see if an infection develops; if an infection does develop then the delivery may be induced or a c-section may be done. Now, being that problems might show up over the next couple of days I wouldn't be that surprised if a Doctor advised her that it was safe to take a flight home.

So, this is (quite possibly) what people are holding againts Palin:

Palin: "Hi Doctor, I think my water broke but there wasn't nearly as much fluid as my other children and I haven't felt a contraction yet"

Doctor: "Hi Sarah, how long ago was this and how much fluid are we talking about?"

Palin: "It was about a quarter of a cup of fluid and this happened about half an hour ago"

Doctor: "Oh, that sounds like you're just leaking some fluid, you should come into the office as soon as you can so I can examine you"

Palin: "I'm not in Alaska right now, but I have a flight in about an hour, is it safe for me to fly?"

Doctor: "If you were going to leave home, I would advise against any flights but I think the flight home is probably safe enough ..."

What a monster!

Alright, HappySquirrel, you are acting like Palin's personal attack dog, so just do me a favor. Watch that video and tell me you still think there isn't even a chance that this is true.

Much like the conspiracy theory that "Obama is really a Muslim" I find this to be remarkably moronic, and like the people who supported that theory I am losing a lot of respect for people here.

I find it remarkably unlikely that McCain would have a running mate who was involved in such an unlikely and convoluted conspiracy that was (according to your video) known about months ago.

These rumors are completely independent of the VP choice then, which means they at least weren't conconcted as a direct response to her being picked as a VP.

Show me any theories about Obama being a Muslim that predate the entire election cycle (pre-2007 at least, preferably closer to 2004 or when he was running for Senate) and I will completely agree with you.

Here are several legitimate sources that debunk the rumor too:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/06/was_obama_a_muslim.html

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/22/obama.madrassa/

But in related news, I did find this photo, which may clarify all of this:

OMG though this one was too funny to pass up:

fake pregnant suit confirmed. That is right you heard it from Madskillz.

It is official, Bristol was raped by brother, he then was punished by family by being forced into the army. Bristol becomes pregnant, Mom decides to hide it by saying she is pregnant, wears a fake pregnant body suit. Palin then finds out it is a downs baby. Forces Bristol to keep it. Bristol goes into labor while she is on trip she coops out the story about the water breaking to... well... I don't know, what would that prove? O right back to the story. They have a huge coverup to do, in fact it is soooo big that no one in Alaska knew, and McCain did find out. She then knowing she has a huge skeleton in the closet accept the VP nod full well knowing every aspect of her life will be scrutinized. There you heard folks the official bigjon declaration.

In all seriousness, I do not think this will hurt Palin, it will be more like the Bush AWOL story from last election. Did little to no damage to Bush, made the entire media look like jackasses. This is just too far fetched to be true. Anyone can cherry pick pictures to make a story work. Chances are the one pic of Briston holding trigg was during a speech or something.

Really, Palin's a bit wierd.

The best part about republicans? Good ol' traditional and biblical names for their kids.

George, Robert, John, etc.

Palin totally ruined the streak.

Who cares if the kid was pregnant. She and her siblings have horrible, life scarring names.

... George and Robert are not biblical, John however is. 1/3 correct : (

Remember Palin in 44 she grew up in a different time then the politicials we are used to dealing with... She turned 16 in 1980 or so, most of the established politicians grew up in the 60's, maybe the early 70's for some.

The odd thing is that I see this as being the complete opposite of the AWOL story from the last election ...

The mainstream media ended up reporting a highly believeable story about George W. Bush and even had documents to back it up. The conservative blogs then demonstrated superior fact-checking ability to evaluate everything and demonstrated that the story was false, which in turn made everyone question the reliability of the professional news media.

Much like the posts about aspartine turning into formaldehyde, this story just demonstrates the gullibility of most bloggers
to ignore reason and to jump to a conclusion without any real thought.

This article says it all:

http://www.newsminer.com/news/2008/apr/22/palins-flight-labor-falls-under-scrutiny/

There is no way that Sarah Palin is the mother of the baby.  If she is the mother, then she is a horrible parent and not fit to lead her own household, let alone a state or country.  At 8 months pregnant, she claims she went into labor in Dallas, then gave a speech, got on a 8 hour flight, and drove to her home town whereshe delivered her baby.

No mother in her right mind would get on an airplane, especially an eight hour flight, while she is in labor.  Thats not to mention that the baby was born a month premature so if she had the baby on the airplane its chances of living would be slim with no medical staff there to assist her.  She didnt even tell the air crew that she was in labor.

The only reason I am not saying this is a COMPLETE stretch is because it happens. Parents assume responsibility for child, so their daughters life can go on normally.

But the fact I would doupt this got through the vetting proccess, And trust me, this was not a desparation pick. McCain had been gaining in the polls steadily for months, and was deadlocked 47/47 going into the dem conv.

Vetting process. You *assumed* McCain vetted her or was focused on her booty?

Here's more fuel for the fire:

http://www.polartrec.com/node/3944

Check out that blog about someone meeting Gov and Piper. Look at the pic on her blog. I tell you what - that’s a week after she dropped Trig. Either she was never pregnant or I’m Mao Tse Tung.

Let me help you out:

The pic of her with one of her kids - she's huge! Even with other pregnancies, she may not gain that much weight, but her hands, arms, legs, face and definitely her breasts get huge. Trust me on this - we have two and I watched my wife's bust BUST. Look at the pics Ghost posted and look at the pic of that blog. Her breasts are hot, but sadly, they aren't bigger.

I think she's Governor of a state and can do whatever she wants. I believe her daughter is pregnant now, however. Look at her on the McCain's site - http://mccainblogette.com/postings/083008_0928.shtml

And ... look at these pics:

and ...

It's a family photo shoot - why is mom NOT holding her own baby? I have two - and I tell you, in family shots, I usually hold her or my wife does. And maybe that dress is a wii bit on the big side, but her daughter has either picked up weight or is losing baby fat. These shots are straight from McCain's daughter's blog.

Notice her chest size. A baby typically breast feeds for six months. He was born late April. Even if she isn't breast feeding, her chest wouldn't go down for months. In shots of her recently, her chest is exactly the same. She may not have shown at all, but doggone, her breast would have in one way or another. Only way her breast didn't increase is - if her last child was Piper.

Regardless, some folks will never believe this, but the more I think about it, the more I think she was vetted like -- that much by McCain. He is thinking about trim, not what's best for the country.

Even if Ghost is wrong, very thought provoking - +1, man - and whoever posted the pic of her daughter with the gut and bigger breasts is right on the money. Those breasts are carrying milk.

Great investigative work!  See people, these are the kind of things you have to do to get people to believe you.

This is still really questionable, because Palin sure as hell does not look like she was pregnant in that first picture.  Even if Palin actually had the child, there is something unquestionably odd about this entire thing.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

this happens everyday in my country...

i dont see how it would make it any more painful being in flight or any more dangerous...

if there was likely to be complications then the doctor would have advised against flying.

Doctors do advise against flying.  In fact most airlines require a doctor's permission for women in late stage pregnancy to fly.

Getting on an airplane for 8 hours in labor is completely stupid, thats not to mention that the baby was born premature.  If she had the baby on the airplane, then the permature baby would a slim chance of survival without medical care.
