i own the 360 and of course gow was 1 of the first games i ever played.it had it all amazing graphics decent weapons and a decent story and amazing multiplayer then my neighbour bought a ps3 and a year later bought resistance fall of man and while it didnt feature amazing graphics it did have nice fps gameplay brilliant chaotic multiplayer and brilliant weapons gow had savage co-op really tactical involving flanking etc rfom had co-op as well you could hide behind cover by ducking behind it and yes you could outflank enimies however it added a twist on hiding behind cover youre no longer fully safe when the auger comes along it allowes you to shoot through cover what i dont understand is why gow fans and rfom fans alwys fight y dont why for once discuss the fine points of both games like humans and not savages please list your favoure aspects of each game and say why which one is your favourite please dont focus on the negatives as have played and finished both games and really enjoyed both of them

Both are awesome games in their own ways. The sequels for both will be awesome and i'm excited for both, but RFOM more. The reasons are simple, GoW2 will only build slightly on GoW1. You can't improve much on something that is almost perfect first time around. The level designs is the only thing that really has me excited as well as the tweaked controls. R2 on the other hand has had a huge graphical boost, some mad ass new monsters, it takes place in a new country and has a deeper story.

This time around, i might enjoy Resistance more then GoW, but i will have to wait and see when all is done and both games have been played and tested by myself. Either way, it's EPIC for gamers and that's what matters :D

i suppose gears is a dark and dull because their world is destroyed ed and yeah its very liner compared to rfom i nearly got lost in levels in rfom i noticed when i shoot my auger through cover i never hit the chimera? also the are way too acurate in both games on higher difficulty levels when i select higher difficulty levels i want the enimies to be smarter not super accurate i remeber playing fear and thinking holy shit this is the best AI ever enimies crawl away hide sneak use cover flank and when thier buddies are all dead run for thier lives they use grenades to flush you out etc

i agree that it will be hard to improve on a near flawless game however its in the right hands

however gears new horde mode sounds like really good fun and im sure multiplayer will be brilliant as usual nd we will be using brumaks and reavers (finally!!!!)

rfom is taking a risk using 60 peole online battles splitting them into groups and mini objectives and you cant argue with inovative boss battles like rfom leviathon

i suppose there is no way to no which will be better until release day

nevertheless im looking forward to both games

this is resistance and gears discussion but... y is it going to be huge it look like it will get boring quite quikly corect me if im wrong and gears has probably made decent improvementstheres now more colour and we can ride brumaks and reavers and we are alaso pomised larger creatures as well new weapons and gameplay also

i do understand that rfom has made a huge improvement and i hope everything turns out well cause i cant wait for both i hope rfom uses a better cover system though

Resistance 2 looks like it will be the better game in terms of game play, online and graphics. Gears of War 2 would sell more because Gears of War was highly successful with officially reported sales of 4.7 million.

sorry rock on that is not correct gears will have better graphics from what i can see and online depends on what you like if you like chaotic mad battes onine pick rfom if you like highly tactical team based games gear is for you and you cant say which plays better until youve played both for eg gears plays better in terms of tactiical gameplay and rfom is more inovate to survive nd yes gears will sell better because 360 has more owners than ps3 do im assuming you are ps3 fanboy rite?
