In an IGN interview with Cliff Bleszinski, it was revealed by Cliff that Gears of War 2 would not be coming to the PC. The point of interest came up in a question about Gears 2’s “Linked Achievements” and the Achievement portability with an account from Games for Windows Live. Cliff said that if you use the same gamertag as you had with the original Windows version on your 360, you would get the retroactive content. When prompted about a PC version of Gears 2, Cliff spilled the beans:

Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around.

and if Mark Rein says make a PC version there will be a PC version. Cliff has Zero control over where the game goes. Heck, Microsoft doesnt.

PC sales probably paled in comparison to the 360 sales, and it might not be worth it to port it.

M$ said there was, but Epic tried to cover up that fact.

what? are you serious.... you really dont know how the PC market works. A PC game can make a profit with only selling like 350k copies sold mattering the title and costs of production but its still generally between 350k and 500k. Really Crysis made a profit before hitting a million and it was one of the most costly PC games made in the last year.

Its always worth it to port, but only time will tell. The term "Exclusive" just doesnt mean what it used to these days. Unless the game is owned outright by MS, Sony, or Nintendo, you can almost bank on it hitting multi-platform (most of the time).
