The sales may be extreme, but they are only first thing in the morning (4am some places) and limited quantities (like 100 or so) and every sale is store specific. So no, you probably won't get a PS3 for 1/2 off, or anything else, unless you get there and are ready to be trampled around 2-3 in the morning.

I'll probably go for a new HDTV. Pay cash for it this time, too! I got my last one on a credit card (the only purchase on that card) last January, and after a year and a half of payments (I missed a couple deadlines) my balance was exactly what I started with last year! I payed the whole thing off early this month. I'm probably going to go LCD 50-60 inches, opposed to the 30 inch LCD I'm rocking.

Gosh nothing! I won't go within 500 feet of a walmart from the end of October til January (unless it's before 8am or after 1am), it's insane. I shop at smaller stores like Target, Sears, and Kmart that time of year.
