Let's not confuse Iraq and Afghanistan... The US had every reason to invade one... The other, not so much.

thinking russia is the badguy in ossetia is like saying Saddam/Irak had biological weapons. Or like saying invading afghanistan was a good thing.

I think if you believe that you don't have a firm grip of the history of the area.

Thanks, Dogs Rule. I love this movie. Keyzer Soze!

To derail this thread further: Did you guys know that Secret of Mana will come to the Japanese VC in September? News of the day, imo.

1. Life in Afghanistan is much better now without the Taliban, when the goverment is run by fundamentalist religious fanatics, everything goes down the drain.
2. The Russians are always the bad guys, sounds ignorant but history has yet to be prove me wrong.

No... it's worse in Afghanistan.  It was better but then Captain jerkoff invaded Iraq and we had to remove troops and things got ugly fast.

The war was a good idea.  The execution was horrible.

Everything from the Dark Ages of Europe to Star Wars proves that evil is only a point of view. Not that I agree with the Taliban, but saying that one side is "the bad guy" is only your opinion.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
