On topic:
This game didn't bomb. It's a super niche, exploration/adventure game.
It probably sold just as Nintendo expected.
Tres tres: I wouldn't go so far to call it a favor. I woud say that it is a game to fill in some gaps in the Japanese line up. This title in conjunction with other "zany" core games gets a very specific group of gamers excited. The type that post on the internet and creat buzz.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
