Forums - Sony - warhawk download. yes or no? advice and help please.

Great game, download it. Stick to the rookie servers at first they are good for learning. They have also just added a few small training missions.

Try the vgchartz warhawk league games if you do get it.

1Sat here right now wondering if i should download warhawk...?

2Am I going to get totally owned for weeks and months to come or is it gentle on newbies?

3 dont have a headset... does that matter?

4Lastly... is it worth it and how does it compare to the multiplayer aspects of COD4 and Battlefield Bad Company which I have played quite a bit in the past.

1. Depends on your finances and the time you are wiling to put into it. There is plenty of room to get more than your money's worth if you commit to it;

2. There are "Rookie servers" which will fit your needs there is now a tutorial you gain trophies for. To be proficient takes time, but you can quickly jump in learn the basics and be having fun;

3. Nope, not at all;

4. I find it much more enjoyable than COD4. When I die in COD4 I curse at myself. When I die in Warhawk, I usually laugh my ass off. I've only played the demo of Bad Company. I didn't like how the tank handled. Warhawk's community will outlast Bad Company's, IMO.

I loved warhawk, and I only sold it cause it took up alot of my time.

Its a blast to play with a headset (unlike MGO, where I never hear anyone use them).

I would only recommend it if you dont have alot of time to play games, cause it will take up alot of your time.

I have a Bluetooth for my car (while driving), can i use the same one to play games?

I'd have to drive my car into the room and pair the PS3 to my car... its bluetooth is built in!

Just make sure you get a good running start then.....

You dont need a mic for WH for most games...I just got my mic to work this week after 5 months of WH.

It will take 5-10 hours of game play to feel comfortable with the game...at least if you jump in now you will be equal in the jet pack skills, and really it has changed some things in terms of stratgey and what does and doesn't work, so now is a good time to jump in.

@ Xbox360, on PS3, yes, most BT will work.

@Kowenicki
If you want to give the league a try, we play tomorrow. Post in the league thread if you are interested.

Get it (looks like you already decided too), the new training missions will help acclimate you, and rookie servers are fairly gentle. Plus VGchartz has it's own league. It's much deeper than COD4, and heavily team oriented. It's very well balanced so there is no cheap vehicle/weapon or anything, and will provide many hours of awesome. You don't need a headset, I've got one and I rarely use it.

Plus for 30 bucks, and now you can get all three expansion packs (new one just came out) for 15 bucks, it's cheaper than most retail games for a gigantic multiplayer experience.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Yea, the new missions can help you get the hang of basic movements, the weapons, vehicles, and aiming. Still, as a new person into the game, it would be expected that you're going to have to build your skills up.

One potential problem though is that the first time I loaded up Warhawk in a while was last night and because I don't have any of the booster packs, I couldn't get into a number of the ranked servers available to me. This may or may not be a problem for you, but I haven't been too interested in paying $8ish or so for a new map and some new things (I believe there are three booster packs out now).

Maybe I'll eventually get it, I'm not sure yet.

You know you will get owned, like you got owned on Resistance lol....but it sounds like a great game. Im gonna buy it if i see it in shops

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

You can get all 3 maps for 15.99$

Proper use of filters should help you find suitable servers.
