Forums - Sony - PSP 3000's hottest feature: Reduced battery life

Yeah, you could but I just couldn't help not posting your flashback thread you created its just funny thats all. And dude why so serious? Just relax your the one getting defensive with your long winded posts and replies..

Serious because I'm sick of people telling me that my opinions on what makes a portable good or not are just plain wrong.  I don't care if battery life isn't important to everyone else in the thread but it's a very important issue to me and that's why I post the complains.  It's annoying when you have a perfectly valid complain and then are just battered with accusations of fanboy posting or whatever.

twesterm,

i assume you will come up threads like this when SCEI announces PSP-4000; PSP-5000.....
could you also include this information in those thread?
need a longer battery life? get a larger capacity battery (bonus: a free battery cap with color of your choice).

I'm still not crazy about the carrying the extra battery around (though I like it better than just dealing with the shorter battery life and carrying around the charger).  And yes, if/when those come out and they start saying they decreased the battery life and I still don't have a PSP then I probably will make the same thread.  Hell, even if I have a PSP and they don't address the battery life issue I'll still make a thread.  And just to spite you annoying people, I won't link to these threads.

It's stupid to continue to add features but not address one of the biggest complaints about it.

He will...lol...twesterm needs to be hired by SCEI and he can then make the decision and discuss. Until then he can sit back and either buy one and enjoy it or just ignore it and wait. Something tells me he wants one but don't want one because of that one lack of feature.

If you had spent the time you took finding my old thread to read this one instead you would have seen that I was seriously considering getting the 3000.

And besides, if I'm going to spend a lot of money on something I have ever right to be picky.

New PSP's Battery Life Equivalent to Current PSP

John Koller writes: "Hi, everyone, there have been reports about the battery life of the new PSP system (PSP-3000) being shorter than the current model (PSP-2000), following an interview we recently did with Gamespot. I'd like to make a correction and clarify that the new PSP will have equivalent battery life to the current PSP, about 4 to 6 hours for games and about 4 to 5 hours for UMD videos. While the enhanced screen of the new PSP draws a little more power, our engineers in Japan worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system including its components, so you won't have to worry about losing any time when enjoying the more vibrant visuals displayed with the new PSP."

Actually finding it was pretty easy cause your post history complains a lot about Sony products. So I clicked a few pages and BAM it was sooo there. And I copied the link and posted for your goodness and everyone to see.

Cut twesterm a break, he likes to sound like a broken record, especially when talking about Sony products.

Let's not forget his disdain for the fact that the PS3 doesn't come with an HDMI cable. Sucky yes, but not something so huge to speak of all the time.

Yet here he is recently whining about the lack of an HD cable with the PS3.

Let's just face it, twesterm is a whiner

you would think if I had so many Sony complaints you would have to wade through a lot of threads to find that specific one.

Okay now your acting like a big kid. No one said your opinion was wrong. I simply said just don't get it and stop posting your complaints over and over again.

I do agree with you. I sometimes take my PSP to hospital when I'm at work. And when there is downtime in the hosptial I sit back and play the PSP and sure enough I get kinda worried about the battery. Because if the PSP is on its highest brightness setting it will soon loose a lot of juice and I will be left with a dead PSP until I recharge.

It's a love or hate feature. If you have titles or want titles on the PSP then don't complain about that feature just get a PSP. If that is your only gripe then so be it. Just wait.

I believe if they do make a PSP-4000 model it will not have the UMD period.
