And to answer your question, as far as I'm aware they have pretty good internet connection on the base I've played computer games like Battlefield 1942 with my uncle while he was on base and he maintained a good ping with my server and everything so I think you will be just fine with connection and shouldn't have to worry about access to the internet.
Oh and I plan on joining the U.S. Air Force either before or after college which might be in just a year for me. |
Nice :) That's quite a family history filled with military experience. Awesome great uncle :) Are you interested in becomming a commissioned officer? There is a program that pays you as an E-5 (SSgt) while you are in college until you graduate, then after BOT being granted your commission. I wish I found out about this before I got my degree and loads of loans. They pay for your college AND pay you salary all while you obtain a nice education.
Good luck to your relatives stationed in Iraq. One of my cousins is a Staff Sgt going back to Iraq again soon. His wife was in the Marines; Father just retired Navy, 27 years as HMCS (E-8), Uncle was in Navy too and a couple other relatives served in Vietnam and South Korea. I'll be the first one going Air Force. I'm a little nervous but am so used to living in this kind of lifestyle that it's not going to be a big change. Boot camp just changed from 6 1/2 weeks to 8 1/2 weeks too to expand on Warrior week, just in time eh.
