Whose job was it to pick the sackboy for the boxart?
That person failed miserably. The one zexen_lowe posted is a lot better.

It's a lot easier for people like me to say,"Ha! And people keep thinking this game is not going to sell well."
You'll be surprised, my naive friend.

So tell me, what person who does not already know about this games does this cover art and commercials apply to?

Meh, I like the BIG planet though. It was much needed! =P P.S.: Why is Sackboy glowing? |

The cover is not superb... but this statement seems a little off. :S
seeing that PlayStation (PSone) logo makes me feel very Nostalgic. I haven't seen it in a VERY LONG TIME. and Sony added the "Only on PlayStation"... very nice.

Much more racially sensitive than Carnival Games.
I like how the box is true to the art style.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I have a question: Why do you care?
You already know (at least I hope you do) that the people who think it will be a big hit and sell millions are the same people who have unrealistic expectations for nearly every PS3 game. Viva Pinata showed decent sales and legs even without bundles and I'm sure LittleBigPlanet could do the same. Being from Sony and being more PC oriented could really help LittleBigPlanet in Europe, and it's drawing positive response in Japan. And besides, never underestimate the power of internet nerds. Zack & Wiki wouldn't have sold nearly as well as it did without the IGN campaign and the internet hype.

Meh, boredom/can't sleep
And did Zack and Wiki sell that well? Er, I mean it sold well but if LBP sells only as much as Zack and Wiki I would be upset. And the game could take off like Viva Pinata, but I don't know, I just still think it won't and besides, people are expecting this game to sell millions and millions and it just won't.

I took a nap in the middle of the afternoon and woke up at midnight. I hate when that happens.
Zack & Wiki sold pretty well (more than 400k so far) and shattered pretty much anyone's expectations, especially for the terrible box art and name. Plus, Point and Click was pretty much dead (especially on consoles) so Zack & Wiki was surely a success. Besides, LittleBigPlanet could be bundled so it could achieve decent penetration if nothing else, allowing for Sony to whore their newly successful franchise. And like I said before, the people who believe the game will sell millions believed that for several PS3 games which didn't sell millions, and a game can sell below expectations for any system. LittleBigPlanet will easily outsell Viva Pinata, so a million is perfectly possible. I bet that LBP could do Viva Pinata numbers in PAL without bundles. Userbase has to be taken into consideration.
