Is it typical for a game to have 322,000 copies on retail shelves or is the VG Chartz number of 678,000 need some adjustments?
It's typical if the game just released and saw a large amount of shipments in the first couple of weeks generated by hype and decent first sales. But quite a few weeks after... no. MOre than likely we are undertrackign the title by about 100k-200k copies. Pick a median of that. I'd say the sales are probably about about 800k-825k.
It's typical. Gamespot reported MGS4 selling 3 mill in under 2 weeks! And yes they said selling, look it up :) However vg just put them past the 3 mil mark...
npd had NG2 a lot higher than vgchartz tracked if I recall, very unfair to not keep these games updated since they get bashed on for being 'bombs'
