Wow, the DS is dominating. DS in others > PSP WW! The DS even managed to pass up the PSP in Japan.

The Wii in Others is greater than the PS3 or 360 WW total. Wii WW is > PS3 and 360 combined! Wow!

360 should see a good boost in NA once the price cut for all 3 models happens.

At double the price when comparing the prices for their respective entry level consoles, PS3 beats the 360 by more than 50K [Just like Rock_on_ said it would] dispite a bigger game library and "so far" better online.


Eh yes but the entry console for the PS3 at least has a Harddisc, WLAN, a BluRay drive, rechargeable controller, free online, still far better quality the ability to use any HD you like for upgrade etc. pp.

Some people are able to see beyond the sticker price

Not a good week for the 360, ps3 has breached the 15m mark!!!

the 360 only managed to pass the 100,000 mark, there maybe trouble ahead. If the 360 retailed at $199 cant have a big impact then Microsoft is in big trouble, Ps3 is gaining momentum!!

And with christmas around the corner and the introduction of the 160gb ps3, there are good times ahead Jump in!!

PS3 is still dissapointing, nowhere near PS2 numbers (from previous gen), it's getting better but not good enough.

I second this opinion.  Also, Japan is misleading since most retailers sold out of their stock back during the week of 8/10.

New shipment of 360's wont be coming till September ... For all thats worth, X360 might show consistent sales around 5-10K from this period forward in Japan with more JRPGs hitting market in the upcoming months.

Are we seeing a similar drop in sales for 360 because of price cut becoming more common knowledge? Similar to what happened with 80gb sku PS3? Or is 360 just doing extremely badly.

You are correct since most people who are buying one know a price cut ws coming in September I would ope the 360 numbers are down

 



PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

360 is still the best console on the market. PS3 is doing great though due to the Blu-ray factor.
