Forums - Microsoft - Gears of war 2 pics

I think this game will score AAA in reviewers opinions, and mine.

In fact, I'm going to play Gears 1 right now. Already in my Xbox.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Realism is boring. Thats why I love Epic games.

What I really like about the franchise is its art/emotional style. The whole game world is built to show you that survival is hopeless and that whatever you do to fight for humanity, its not enough.

Enjoy

Gears 2 will be great, can`t wait for it.

Epic having learned nothing from CoD4 and Halo 3, the sequel continues the GoW tradition of limiting players to a tiny area using 1 foot high concrete curbs that the characters are inexplicably unable to jump over.

Tiny area - Its done on purpose, and it's what give GeoW its charm. Everything about Gears of War is about being in your opponents face. Look at CoD4 and Halo 3, the only time you get even near your enemy is if you sneak behind them and stab them in the back.

Gears of War Multiplayer is about getting close to your enemy, face to face. Everything is close quarters -  chainsaw battles, Frag tags, flamethrower, curb stomps.

Personally I love that its "in your face" action. Its something that hasn't been duplicated in any other 360 game.

And yea they can actually jump over 1 foot high concrete curbs...

Strangely, I loved Gears single player campaign, and found Halo 3's campaign to be mediocre. Different tastes, I guess.

i dont know how you play CoD4 and halo 3 but when im playing i get in peoples faces all the time! i never sneak up on someone unless they just dont happen to see me and i do end up knifing them or assassinating them. but most of the times i shoot at them while running up to them to finish it off with a beat down or a knife. also in CoD4 there are times when you have only 6 bullets left and so if they dont finish off the enemy in a firefight you must either run (pansy) or run up to them and knife their ass, which is really fun...sometimes funner than gears imo.

but OT: this game looks awesome but i honestly dont like the online play so its just going to be a single-player/ co-op play for me
