Many years ago I used to pirate music, but now it's so easy and cheap to buy that I can't really see any point to it. Heck, I can find a song and legally purchase it for almost nothing faster than I can pirate it. It's that easy.

I pirate anime occasionally but with so many great games to play these days, I haven't done it in a while since I just don't have free time to watch it. In fact, lately I've been deleting a lot of the stuff I did get way back when simply because I need the HDD space and will probably never watch it anyway.

Music that is all.

I don't know anyone who uses a computer who hasn't pirated something, be it software, music, an episode of their favourite TV show, or whatever else.

Music I usually watch or listen to on youtube. But I am now playing secret of mana on a SNES emulator so guilty as hell. Still, I have a good excuse - I can't get my wii online and a lot of games didn't even get localised in the EU like secret of mana, or chrono trigger.

Youtube is piracy too!

Or at least a lot of people would argue that.

I mean is it any different if you download things like random anime episodes and music vs playing them on a VOD.

It's the same result... without the annoying hassle of wasted harddrive space.

If you have logged onto the internet you have probably pirated something unless you are just plain stupid.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I'm just borrowing it.. I'm planning to give it back...
