Forums - General - Okay, lets be honest: Who here has pirated anything b4?

Anything, including software.  I know a lot of people have gotten their copy of Photoshop off of some floating torrent file online, or their favorite copy of Quake.  PSP hackers included.

I will go ahead and admit I'm not perfect and have indulged back in college.  Not so much anymore especially after I go into the military, the laptop I'll be using is given to me by government so what I can do is going to be pretty much limited :(

I used to pirate stuff.

Songs... there are deleted now.

I used to pirate the occasional game as well. In fact I would of never been a huge fan of SRPGs had i not played Tactic Ogre on an SNES emulator in its japanese version.

Which honestly it's a good thing i did cause SRPGs are my favorite gener. I gotta own over 30+.

I don't do it anymore, even if it did actually cause me to buy more videogames. Just seems immoral now that i'm older. Obviously not stealing since it's not depriving a physical copy of something but eh...

I used to buy bootleg DVD's before... but that was wayyy before >_>

It depends on your view of piracy. If I download an episode of Dr Who from a torrent site, is that piracy? If I use Tune Bite to strip the DRM from iPlayer programs, is that piracy? If I download a OOP rom for an obsolete system, is that piracy?

I used to pirate a bunch of stuff. About all I pirate now is porn and old games (NES era stuff).

Oh... also i'm considering pirating a copy of "Super Power 2"

I own the game... but the DRM is said to ruin or break Disc drives because it slows down your disc drive rotation.

Fun game but hard. Unlike the real world... if you were Russia and tried to invade georiga you'd suddenly have over half the UN at war with you.

Music: Everything I have
Movies: Just a few downloads
Games: I got a loaded up R4 card as a gift, but I haven't added any more games to it.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Indeed.  During college it was just conveinent for me since I was broke and still wanted to play games, so when I got a PSP I took full advantage of the emulation.  Still have loads of stuff on there and don't plan on taking it off just because I got older.  I own all of the SNES and Genesis games I have emulated onto it, plus a few PS1 games on there I ripped to PC and play on PSP, it's just conveinent to have over 50 playable games on one lil' system :)

Sometimes. Music mainly, though.

I took my son to see Wall-E at the cinema and fully intend to buy it on DVD as soon as it hits the stores, so I feel happy to download a TS for him to watch until then.
