FFXIII? Which one? There's like twenty.
Eitherway FFXIII (main game) is just unrealistic for the Wii, and adding it to the list belittles the hopes of others for realistic games like KH3 and DQX.
Besides, I personally can't think of any franchise that needs to die more than the Final Fantasy main series. I mean their incessant need to make every new addition to the franchise either a misguided genre experimentation or FF7/FFX rip-off has forced talent such as the director of FFXII to leave Square-Enix. For the love of god, the character designer of FFXIII admitted that he was instructed to make the main character of FFXIII a female version of Cloud. And reading over the story and character backgrounds of FFXIII makes it sound almost like Square Enix forced Hideo Kojima to come up with asinine premise and story for this game while drugged or heavily intoxicated. I mean, I literally don't know what FFXIII is trying to rip off more, FF7 or Metal Gear Solid. And no, that is not a good thing.
And what is with all the spin-offs for FF games now, remember when Final Fantasy main series games were just one instalment each? I mean, technically there's nothing wrong with spin-offs, but as none of them benefit their parent game in anyway they're little more than just an excuse to sell the name power of same instalment multiple times. Even the best spin-off, Crisis Core, just elaborates and embelishes on a part of FF7's story that was better left as a flashback. Oh well given their lack of talent and diminished staff I guess Square is playing to thier strengths (or lack there of) by adopting what seems to be the strategy of quanity over quality.
