I don't think they will, for most of people especially 360 owners that have never played FF franchise (or havent played it for long time) versus is not much of a big deal it kinda is now for Sony fanboys since the FFXIII goin multiplat, but then hey versus might go on 360 as well even when Nomura is responsible for it, you never know . There is enough good rpg's on the 360 to keep RPG fans occupied, and PS3 sadly doesn't match it.

Switching discs means nothing, absolutely nothing if terms of enjoying a brilliant RPG game, if it's some shooter or action game then maybe.

Many hardcore FF fans in west will buy PS3 just to play FFXIII early and Versus being exclusive.

Anyway, its a tough one to answer since its quite likely that Vs will be released on the 360 as well. SE have stated that FFXIII won't be released in Japan...But they haven't said that Versus won't be released at all...Which seems to tie in with a later announcment. Of course thats like 50\50, who knows and I won't be like anyone here and pretend that it defo will come out, just not sure yet either way.

If it turns out its not, then I can't really see anyone at all buying a PS3 for the Versus side of the story, its obviously NOT the core part of the story or it wouldn't have the "Versus" name.

I don't even think Versus will be released in Europe.

I currently own only a 360, and do not think regardless of how much I enjoy FFXIII that I will purchase a PS3 just for XIII Versus.

However, it is possible that the PS3 library reaches critical mass (FOR ME) prior to release of XIII versus, and that I would have a PS3 by then anyway.

Versus was supposed to be FFXIV, but because it took place in the same... crystal thing, they called it Versus. That basically makes it a bigger game than any typical spin-off. I'd be pretty surprised if all the hardcore fans didn't already buy a PS3 though for XIII. All of my friends who own a 360 told me that losing XIII was major for the PS3 but said they wouldn't bother getting it. Considering all the RPG love that the 360 is getting, a lot of newcomers may be tempted to get Versus. I wouldn't count on it though. It'd take more than Versus for that. Maybe White Knight Chronicles will finally be released by then? >.<
