I highly doubt John Lucas is Maelstrom. While they hold somewhat similar beliefs, ultimately they differ in their methods. Particularly in the way that JL makes off-the-wall predictions, while Maelstrom's predictions are based off of in-depth research and often are less off-the-wall than they are logical ends of very atypical business strategy.
And no, I'm not Maelstrom either. He inspired me to look into Blue Ocean Strategy and Innovator's Dilemma, and we both have a knack for writing things that incite and entertain in equal measure, but that's where our similarities end.

you have the hardcore HD fans..and you have Wii fans..and you have the more reasonable people..and you have people who like Nintnedo..but dislike the Wii..kind of

okay...uhm..*cough* I knoez you're not malstrom...but I don't think he'd suddenly present himself..
hmm...I do enjoy malstrom...he's a good man...wish more people would take Nintendo and their epic win seriously..
if he didn't exist..I'd still be puzzled..
I'm not discounting the possibility that he's been here entirely. I'm simply eliminating two of the "likely suspects", if you will.
Now if he ever quotes a post that originated at VG Chartz, I think that will eliminate most of the doubt on the matter...
