it's going to sell well on both PS3 and 360, but I think the 360 one will outsell the PS3 one 2:1, it was going to outsell it by quite a bit anyway, but the exclusive content will help too.

I think the game will sell well on both systems and sell more systems for both companies.

The price drop on the PS3 will make it a better seller on it too, but I still expect the 360 version to sell the best.

Only legit excuse for anyone saying GTA might not be all that important or pretanding they just don't know, let me guess its not importmnt because its not on the wii right. Cut the crap, GTA has almost has no rival as far as sales and popularity go. Yes somewhat Gran Turismo but thats a different audience and its broken up all over the world alot more then GTA.

NO one is tired of GTA, they all have waited for hardware this powerfull because seriously the last gen GTA games were freaking UGLY as hell.

GTA4 trailer crushed EVERy website it was show at, thats how popular the damn thing is.

By the time GTA4 comes out im guessing a userbase of 5-7 million. Thats with the price cut that I think is gunna happen/ So that leaves the PS3 about 3-5 million off of 360 but then again Halo 3 is coming and expect that game to sell 360's like crazy. The game already has over 4 million pre-orders.

Look Celb, one guy made a perfectly legit post that plenty of PS1 and PS2 franchises started out as phonomenons, only to see sales decrease later as multiple games come out and the idea gets copied by other devs. Personally I don't think that'll be the case here, but there's nothing wrong with bringing that up.

Your math only adds up if no one on earth buys a 360 between now and then.

I expect GTA4 will do extremely well on both platforms, but the userbase discrepancy will lead to about a 2 or 3 to 1 ratio of sales for 360 over PS3 

I have absolutely no idea, and thats what has me so pumped for all of the AAA releases this fall. It would be more exciting if there was an impending bloodbath, but to be honest all 3 companies are bringing it this fall so, well theres likely just going to be a last quarter of the year that absolutely stomps last years numbers in terms of revenue the gaming industry takes in. Glooooooorius!

since others brought it up, I think in the long run, at least, HALO 3 isn't going to measure up sales wise to GTAIV. Yes, it's multi plat, but that doesn't mean squat to R*. It is definitely more important to the PS3 though.

3to1 or 2to1 I'd say 1.5to1. Why? Look at the Darkness.

EDIT: I want to point out the Darkness is 2:1. However we have to rember 2 things. The loyal Sony players, are normally not the FPS addicts the 360 guys are. Also, you factor in This is StarBreeze's second game, second for microsoft, first for sony. No-one knows who they are, what they do, how they work. Quite a few of the sony guys were actually TRASH talking The Darkness. I put them in their place, and then they rented it, and stuck their foot in their mouth. Also, the die-hard FPS people for the PS3, also had to choke on Rainbow Six: Vegas. So that took from sales of Darkness. I say 1.5 to 1 is accurate.

EDIT2: OMFG OVERLORD IS OUT! YAY! That game is gonna kickASS... IGN castrated it wtf. lol. IGN less than 7. IGNEurope gave it a 8.1 Oh well, I read a review that said you can piss on carpets... sounds kickass to me.
