I'll post what I posted in the other thread:
I'm still trying to figure out why anyone cares about FFXIII after how awful FFXII was (this coming from a current PS3 owner too).

1 It's being developed by the same team that did FFX, and alot of other FFs. Not by the team that did XII.
2 It will have the ATB battle system with party members.
3Edit: also the main developer didn't leave midway through the games completion.(matsuno)
Those are just two reasons why the game could be better imo.
@Op I would rather a different final fantasy game. Hell I want crystal bearers just as much or even more so than FFXIII( MY OPINION). Besides I could get it on my ps3 or 360.
There is your final fantasy game.

Yes imo and many others it is an awful game. I played every Main Final Fantasy btw. And been playing the series since I was 4. Just so you get a reference of my experience with the series. The only good things about XII was Balthier , Fran and the huge open worlds.

There is a monster hunter 3 one. I'm sure there are more as well.

Most mainstream games get good reviews no matter what. Even if they are bad in the opinon of most. FFXII is one of the most hated final fantasy's if not THE most hated because of many reasons. There are a few who liked it as well, but the general consensus between fans is that its a bad game compared to the others, and imo a bad game compared to anything. It was a huge dissapointment.

If ratings determined quality it would be a very very sad world. Ugh, I would have to say I liked Oblivion and GTAIV, which I will never do.
FFXII was awful.

Wow, have you guys looked at this game? Do you even remotely think it could run on the Wii.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Sadly they do. Ratings actually determine lots of things.
