Robert LLewelleyn (Kryton) was on a PBS pledge drive last week, and announced that the BBC has commisioned a one-hour special to film next month for 2009!!  hopefully it either at least ties up the cliffhanger, or is a rebirth for the show :D

Cool... I can't remember the clifhanger though? Series 8 wasn't as good.

meh, Red Dwarf was ok, but i never really got into it as much as other shows

Red Dwarf went sadly downhill. That episode with the dinosaur killed it.

I can still remember this classic exchange however....

(The crew are crawling through the ventilation system)
Lister: I hate small spaces. Im really claustrophobic
Konchesky: Its not small! Its huge! Dont worry
Lister: Thanks Konchesky
(she crawls up ahead. Cat comes to join Lister)
Cat: Man it is tight in here!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Red Dwarf is such a funny show...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

heres a synopsis

The early series were the best.

I'm gonna getcha little fishy!

I hope it's not set in the detention center like series 8.

Also, why was Robert Llewellyn on PBS? is he famous in USA, if so what for? Red Dwarf? Scrapheap challenge? How things are made? shall I finish another sentence with a question mark?
