Forums - Nintendo - And Capcom said they wanted to get 100 zombies on DR Wii.....

I don't really care whether this game is still in alpha stages or is ready to be released tomorrow.

What I do (or will) care about is if Capcom releases the game as is in the video, and then complains that it didn't sell well. If something could have been done on the PS2, then it's not going to sell as well as say, Nintendo's games (which couldn't have even been done on the GameCube, which was more powerful than the PS2). And this is why 3rd parties are going to continue to fail compared to Nintendo. Until they figure out that just because the Wii isn't a PS3, doesn't mean that the Wii is a PS2, they're never going to have the success that Nintendo has had thus far. That, and they need to figure out some other stuff (like casual doesn't mean stuipd, even a retard knows that!).

capcom is actually a fairly good supporter of wii, there not a third party that doesnt get the wii eg ubisoft(although this with Red steel 2 and Iam alive)

the game is at 40% complete i still have hope in them

Wow, Chop Till You Drop makes Hitman 2 look like garbage. How many Hitman games were there? Who greenlighted a sequel? Or a movie? Looks like fucking garbage.

I'd rather take on 15 zombies than 100 zombies and 4 cops if the zombies are just going to stand still and not even swipe at you.

Well done Rubang.

I think people need to watch the zombies just standing there watching him pick up the bench again.

Also did the zombies just fall on their backs like that in the 360?

And yeah I watched it again twesterm running into nothing happened numerous occasions... they better start filling it up or else this game that is suppose to be an open area with interaction with objects and mass slaughtering zombies will be boring.

lol people are so insatiable.

Dev produces no video. Translation to gamers - "OMG! This game is vaporware!"
Dev produces video of alpha stage development -"LOLZ! 64 Bit graphics! They shouldn't have shown this video."

This post translates to this- Stop being such ungrateful little bratz (tm). You demanded videos, they gave them to you. You want a polished video of the actual end result, WAIT.

Is it wrong to be so complex?

Don't announce a game til you can show something good, and generally, we're all fine.

But seeing as the game is ~4 months from release, they have to show something, or else people would (rightfully) question the quality.

This is Capcom though, they're good for delays, so the release date is just an estimate. There just seems to be this huge doublestandard going on among the game site population of lambasting a company for either not putting out videos or tearing apart videos of early shots.

I'll go with Madworld.

Yes, rationalization is something we should applaud.

No, Capcom doesn't get a free pass.  If the video makes the game look like crap, they shouldn't release the video.  The game should be judged based on every piece of material they release on it... because that's why it's released in the first place.

Games should be compared and weighed based on their competition and if Capcom can't even appear to compete with an old PS2 game they deserve to be laughed at.

If anything, I'd like to see Capcom release their own comparison video showing all those zombies they promised.  It would be a great PR move on their part and ease everyone's unrest.

Exactly.

The whole point of releasing screenshots is to judge a game, so to not judge a game because it's "pre-alpha" is dumb.

Who said there isn't going to be 100 zombies on screen? It is a definite possibility. plus, you have to keep in mind, the AI that will be used on the zombies is going to be more advanced than that of the crowd in Blood Money. Did you notice that even when the dude started to shoot everybody, nobody even started running away. They all just shambled around like it was normal. AI also takes up processing power.

I'm sorry... but those zombies just swiped at the dude (If they werent just standing there looking at the dude)... you call that more advanced AI?

Well they're zombies...what do you expect from them except the old "walk with arms extended and swipe"? On the other hand, the crowd from the Hitman footage are humans and humans usually run away screaming when somebody starts to shoot. Or is it just me?

actually it looked like some of thr crowd tried to run, look at the beginning of the Hitman part. Some of the crowd are ducking on the sides of the road and some crowd are trying to run but failing due to the amount of people blocking the way.
