Forums - Nintendo - The week of September 21 will be a big one for Wii owners

There are a few potetential big games coming out that week and might be tough for gamer's wallets.

Wario Land: Shake It

SimCity Creator

Sambe de Amigo

Lego Batman

de Blob

Lost In Blue: Shipwrecked

And that's on top of Stars Wars: The Force Unleashed coming out the week earlier and Spyborgs the week after.

September looks like a good month with a few titles that could likely become million sellers. I think Wario Land should do it no problem. I think Star Wars might and Lego Batman should also since previous Lego games have been big sellers and Batman is as popular as ever. SimCity is one of those longtime favorite series and I could see it doing very well. There's a lot of positive buzz about the de Blob and I think it looks like it could be sort of a sleeper hit and possibly Lost In Blue as well.

Any thoughts? What game, if any, will you be buying and what do you think will be surefire hits and also misses?

I'll come up with something better eventually...

I didn't realize SimCity Creator was coming out so soon. And Lego Batman? Can't wait. I already have Star Wars reserved... going to be a tough month on my wallet. de Blob looks pretty cool as well.

What is Lost in Blue though? I've never heard of it.

Lost In Blue is a series that has been on the DS. It's gotten fairly decent reviews and I think the Wii version could be interesting. I haven't seen too much of it yet though but I'm going to keep my eye on it and look for reviews when it comes out.

Spyborgs already coming in September?!...

Damn Capcom... So much for adressing or advertising your games to the public?!... You can keep experimenting with new titles on Wii and checking if they'll sell or not but if you don't advertise or even adress that the game is coming it will not help too much either... I only heared about Spyborgs when it was announced (with some pics) and that they are redesigning it or something... Should be a failure saleswise again, but what do you expect with Capcom neglecting to promote their Wii-games in any way to gain better sales! XD... I bet this will not sell in excess of 300k units.

THE NETHERLANDS

Lost in Blue is a survival game series that is on the DS. In most cases you're on some type of ship, end up ship wrecked and have to forage around, learning how to cook, make shelter, start fires, etc etc. It's basically the movie Castaway in game form. It's neat, I didn't really enjoy the DS versions, my wife did, but the Wii version could be promising.

I just looked up Lost in Blue on IGN, looks pretty interesting. I'll have to keep an eye on it now... and find some more money.

Lego Batman should be great

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Yeah, is there a link for where that's official? I thought SpyBorgs was going to be 2009.

Lost in Blue was a game with potential that just got way too tedious. LEt's hope they have learned something with the Wii version.

Out of that group I'd probably get de Blob.

But if Force is the week before and Spybots the week after... That's going to get really tough. I try to limit myself to one game a month so it'll boil down to reviews.

Thank goodness I can still excuse getting either Tiger Woods or NHL 2K9 as August since there's been nothing else to get. But if both turn out to be must haves that's another competitor for September... Thank God for Christmas.
