it wont exceed cgi, have you see what you can do with cgi's, you can rape crysis for god sake.
it will look like a cgi though, or a lot closer then any other game has come to looking like a cgi

Contemporary prerendered CGI will never be beaten by it's contemporary real time counterparts.
Real time rendering today (or last gen that matter) may beat older prerendered CGI in many ways. It often does.
Gears of War, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, and many other games look better than Toy Story.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
It really does look gorgeous, I just hope it will either be fun (like other good games) or truly so good at drama that the game really does entertain in a new way.
It would be good for the industry and all gamers.

It wont even be close, Drakes Fortune looks better than what we have seen of Heavy Rains in game footage.

I honestly don't know why developers even bother with CGI anymore. In-game engines look great and all CGI does is jack up the cost of games while gobbling up disc space, leading to multi-disc games.
I suppose it would make sense if you had a CGI division which you wanted to promote for TV and film work...

Haha, quite a weird day, obieslut is the one being realistic about PS3's capabilities and the other person isn't.
In game WILL NEVER beat CGI on the same system/generation, there's a reason why they say R&C matches early Pixar films but not the latest ones, CGI just doesn't stop at one point and allow in-game graphics to catch up.
Heavy Rain looks awesome though.
