Forums - Nintendo - Jet Force Gemini

After recently beating Super Mario Sunshine, I decided to tackle Jet Force Gemini for the N64, this is my 2nd playthrough so I already know what to expect, but since the game is mostly seen as a hidden gem I was wondering what other VGC'ers thought of this game.

Jet Force Gemini was awesome. Never owned it, but played it a lot at my friend's house.

Man that game was freakin awesome. One of the best games on the N64 IMO

GA very good game that should allow for different endings if based around thee amount of tribals you saved. Instead, it forces you to save them all before you can advance through a certain point.

Fun game that does not need an, "update" of any kind. Classic as it is.

Perhaps I am in the minority. I was less then thrilled with the title in fact I was downright disappointed. I played the title for eight hours, and then tossed it aside. I have not touched the game since, and have no strong desire to do so ever again.

My vague recollections were of long periods of endless cavernous spaces. With poor controls and moments of supreme frustration. I could see potential in the title, but like many Rare games of that time frame it felt like a bridge too far. I felt the same way about Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, and even Banjo Tooie. The last one I managed to muscle through though I most certainly was not having fun near the end, and I just plain got sick of Diddy Kong Racing, and Donkey Kong basically required a manual and a journal to play.

jet force gemini was one of my fave n64 games. heres hoping that Rare releases the original on XBLA, and is working or planning a new JFG for the 360. i think if done right, it could be a good answer to the Ratchet and Clank series.

Jet Force Gemini was the single reason I loved the N64 more then the playstation. I LOVED that game to death. I would like a remake of it. Just an update on graphics nothing else. Maybe a few extra levels.....of course since its Rare i would have to buy a 360 again :(

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2
