Either way, Microsoft gets money from whichever system they buy the game for, so they don't care.

No they dont M$ doesnt get a dime off any PC game sales unless the game is made or published by M$.

I'm sure they'd get a little something if it's a 'Games For Windows Live' title though.
At least they're not shooting themselves in the foot anymore by making Windows Live free.

At the topic,
I think it can sort of take away the big 'exclusives' of the 360 when it comes to the console wars. If I can play Mass Effect, Gears of War, Halo (1 or 2, a port of 3 is most likely going to come), Fable (I would imagine Fable II will come to PC too), ect, what's the incentive to buy a 360, Dead Rising?
While it may or may not take games away from the PS3, the lack of a real need for a 360 in my case turns my interest to getting/playing PS3 exclusives and multiplatform titles while saving the PC for the games that I couldn't play on the PS3. I think it could be similar with other PC people too.
