When PS3 is $250.00 WII will have price dropped so lets use your second set of numbers, PS3 will still be basically be double using your math above so what has changed?  Same as it is know so sales are the same?

PS3 is not a PS2 and wont sell like one.  It may come on gangbusters later but the PS2 was never in third!

 

What im saying is Wii is already at Mass Market Price, numbers should be higher, now when PS3 gets this chance PS3 sales will greatly Increase. I mean if you had Wii at 400$ and PS3 at 400$ what would sell better? PS3 obviously because of its IMO better games lineup and Better deal overall

I would hope the PS3 cause of Blueray, Hardrive, High Def, Cell processor, game line up you have to watch out saying Ninetendo has some fantastic Games, Super Mario Galaxy, smash bros, Metroid ect.  The issue here is your right PS3 hurt themselves badly because of their $600.00 price point.  Yes when the price drops more people may buy the issue is most people will have made there console choice by then.  We wont see a PS3 at sub $300.00 for at least two years they lost bllions and cant even match the MS cut coming in September. 

I am not saying its not a great system, Xbox made some awesome improvements to their second system that made it a strong contendor and WII blew everyone away with its motion controller, last release was game cube.  The market has changed PS3 cant dominate the way PS2 did its not possible.

 

 



PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

i really don't believe a PLAYSTATION 4 will be seen until 2014.if so it will be expensive like the PS3,i doubt SONY will approach the market that way again

Yeah, but just because PS3 is "non-leading" because of Wii (it'll pass 360), doesn't mean that PS3 can't sustain a long time.  It needs a big strong game library, low price point, Blu-Ray player, and good movie downloads, and it can sustain great sales.

If your point was anything < PS2 equals failure or anything < market leader can't sustain good sales long term, you're wrong.

The PS3 graphics are no better than the 360, of MS launches a new console and WII does Sony has no choice but to offer one or die.  Even the PS2 is finally on its last throughs.  The PS3 is no PS2

  You are correct it is not leading cause of the WII, it MAY pass the 360 but that dosent mean much since it may take it 3-4 years to do and it wont be a signficant margin. It has been shown historically that a console life span is 5-6 years why do you think they make a new one every 5-6 heck even the PS2 did?

The graphics of PS3 are advancing quicker than 360 and it has already surpassed 360 IMO with games like Uncharted, Metal Gear solid4 and Multiplats are starting to go in favour of PS3. This gap will only get larger and larger, as developers (ESP 1st and second party which take full advantage of the PS3) begin to get to know the ins and outs of PS3 completly

I keep on hearing it, but I'm not seeing it.

Not saying it won't happen, but everyone was saying wait until this year, wait until E3, wait until etc, and it still hasn't happened. 

Starting to sound as bad as the PS3 domination people, but at least they finally stopped.

wtf ??? who said anything about PS3 having better graphics than 360 ???? gamecube and 360 graphics are better than PS2..PS2 is still selling great,where is gamecube and xbox ????

WHAT????  At E3 Microsfot one for best graphics with GOW2?  SO not sure how you can support ps3 graphics are advancing quicker than the 360.  I have seen more threads on this but the graphics are equal look at Assasians creed .  We could get into a whole game compare thing but not doing it.  

I do agree there MAY be more potential for improvement on the PS3 but they are saying GOW 2 wa snot suing full MS power.  As for devlopers currrently 360 is selling way more software than ps3.

I am not syaing PS3 may not pass MS ins sales some day.  but it willnever have the thrid party supprt like the PS2 the WII and 360 are here to stay
