Forums - Sony - Force Unleashed hahaha

I was interested in this game until the demo. For me though, it wasn't really the force control that was bad (though that certainly wasn't a positive).

It was actually the Star Wars-y style that turned me off... The environment is just bland... It's nothing I haven't seen a million times in movies or KOTOR. Just no thanks.

And good luck trying to look up to grab one of the fighters in the hanger...

Urgh yes, tried that, no luck.

I found it easier to stay on the raised platform and target from there.

I think I did it but you're right--it is much easier from the catwalk.

The running around and general movement was way too loose, but there were some parts of the game I really enjoyed, like holding a crate in front of an incoming Tie Fighter so it will crash, or getting behind a stack of crates to use a fully chaged force blast to take out ~5 incoming guys.

The force powers are really cool, imo.

Thread needs to be removed. None of the major reviews for this game have come out yet, and the author of this post is treating this game like it is a PS3 exclusive that has flopped not mentioning that it is also coming to 360 and Wii as well, and that if the PS3 version is bad the other two most likely are as well.

My most anticipated games:  Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort.  Cave Story Wiiware.

^Good point paul. Not only the Wii, 360, and PS3 but PSP, DS, and N-Gage as well w/ exclusive Nokia content. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Star-Wars-The-Force-Unleashed-for-Nokia-039-s-N-Gage-Platform-72694.shtml

It will sell well cause its star wars

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

I dont expect the X360 version to be any different from the PS3 verison , the Wii version may do something with motion support though given the effort on the PS3 version i cant see the Wii getting good motion support - it will be lucky they get anything extra.
Wii people will miss out on the 1 to 1 sword control it's really not a big ask but the game programmers skills are weak in their mastery of code so it may take several more years before wii fans will see good sword motion support in a starwars game if ever !.
This game appears to be relying entirly on the star wars effect rather than actually comming up with game play improvements it's an almost un-modified game engine with the monsters replaced with star wars figures.
Without motion support it totally fails to capture the spirit of the one to one Star Wars duels which were the high points of the starwars movies.
The only version which may be playable will be the PC version - pretty sad effort for supposed next-gen gaming consoles.
