Forums - General - Being on the "watch list" for being Islam

MrBubbles said:

people arent put on the watch list for being muslim.  there are a number of innapropriate situations of people being put on the list, such as writing critical articles of the TSA but there are 4 or 5 mil muslims in the US and only 1mil names on the watch list.

I lol'd very funny Mr. Bubbles.

Let's look at the list... college professors, religous workers, ex-military or police, scientist, who happen to be muslim... So the government can legitimately claim that those 1 million need to be on the list, or 1 in 5 U.S. muslims...

Right.  Sure.

People who are contributing the most or who we should be treating as heroes are put on the terrorist list.

The 7 year old actually makes sense, because parents will use their kids identities for things.  Like open bank acconts, get credit cards, get fake papers, etc...

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

...the article is their own speculation...  you dont have information from the TSA about why they are on the list.   and its not like they would admit to something innapropriate on their part that could have gotten them on the watch list.   an even more likely reason i could see, just from looking at the article, is that her some of her books and dvds were probably deemed to promote  radical ideology.   but as the exact reason, its definately not because they are muslims.

So, someone decided to learn more about religion, for researching or simply out of curiousty, s/he would automatically be on "the list"?

selling materials that contain extremist messages or written by extremist authors....not someone picking up to learn about a religion... would have the possibility of being on the list.

And how are you going to buy such books if nobody sell them?

Anti-Muslim Crusade by the American government. The War on Terror is a sham. Iraq invasion by American troops is what I call real terrorism. Blood for oil.

In the Blood for Oil campaign, not War on Terror. 4000 American soldiers have lost their lives in Iraqi invasion, just for some oil companies get richer and monopolise oil supplies. Bush and his cronies get their kick backs.

If I was the guy who fought for America for 13 years and I get awarded with being put on a black list. I would leave America and never return.

My own father's on the list (or some kind of list), as we've been informed several times by airport personnel. He's not Muslim.
