Forums - Sales - What SSBB needs to do to hit 10 million.

It will pass 10 million sales I believe in 2010. Games have a fast start and they drop off over time. I believe SSBB will reach 10 million. Mk Wii will sell over 12 million copies due to its popularity. SMG has a good chance of reaching 10 million sales as well.

I'm not so sure about Galaxy.... it will take some time.

SSBB should manage it though.... and MKWii is going to far exceed 12 million.... hell it will be past 10 million before 2009 starts.

Around the Network

10 mil will happen.

Brawl has not had a Holiday season.

Its launch has been overshadowed in Others by mega hits MKWii and WiiFit.

It will sell well over time in Europe, it will sell by word of mouth seeing that it is an awsome game. (and it has Sonic)

I think it hits 2.5-2.75 mil LTD in Others 2-2.25 in Japan, and 5.5-6.25 in NA soooo.

10-11.25 mil

Right now it is around what 6.6? sold about 65k last week. I think it will have 50k until the holidays hit. Which would put it at 7.2 mill or so heading into NOV. I think the game will do over 1 million (closer to 1.5) during Nov/Dec. Making it 8.5-9 million by Jan 1. It will sell like MP8 a bit. and reach 10 million during the 09 holidays season. I think it will add 1-1.5 million the rest of its life after that.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

SSBB is one of those "must have" title for all ages. 10M is inevitable.

I don't know. Honestly, I believe Brawl appeals to "only" 15-30 year old males. Of course not just those, but they are by far the main purchasers.

I think he means 5-8 year old males.

90% of the people said this is a hardcore game.

93% of the people say it is for gamers

Not enough people in 35-44 have rated it

Not enough in 45-54

Not enough in 55+

Not enough females in any category other than 13-18

Males 13-18 and 19-24 are exactly equal with the total numbers.

This is from the European Nintendo channel btw. And Europe has more casual than hardcore (no other way to define here).

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

^@Oyv.... actually the Nintendo Channels are split into countries... so the Channel you see represents the Scandanavian region (and for some reason includes Greece and Portugal)

Looking at all the games playtime data your region is the most hardcore of all the regions.... for instance your hours per person for LoZ:TP is a massive 55hours 33min... compared to UK region at under 45 hours... and most other regions between 45 and 50.
Generally this is reflected across the other "core" Wii games, with average hours per person higher than the other regions.... and apart from Wii Fit most casual games have a lower hours per person.

Also you REALLY love Excite Truck apparently... having both bought more copies (compared to the number of people included) as well as played it for 16h 17m each... when the rest are all around 13 hours except Spain at 10 hours.
