Gears of War 2 is a system seller, like the first one was. It won't be as big as Halo3 but it will move consoles. It should move at least similar if not bigger amount of Hardware as R2.

Even if it was a system seller, no one could tell because of its too close to the holidays to differentiate between Gears 2 system sales and regular holiday sales. It will still be a HUGE software seller though :)

It will probably boost hardware during its release week....but nothing too amazing. Not like the PS3 with MGS4

The ad for GeoW1 is one of the best game ads ever.

It's kind of a shame that while the game is extraordinary it doesn't pack the emotional punch of the advertisement.

In the end, it doesn't matter one bit. You won't be able to sort the Gears sales from the holiday sales.

I think it will push a decent amount of consoles. Not a bunch but enough to see a spike for a week, maybe two.

It will boost hardware briefly for a few weeks. I think the sales increase will be a substantial amount. No more than like 20k.
