I had the idea of have blogs for the website. I, for one, would find it interesting to read the blog of TheSource and MrStickBall (providing they ACTUALLY wrote blogs).
Also, my egotisical self would love to write a blog in hope for readers.

Shrug, so instead of the regular attention whoring people have on Forums, we'd have the blog attention whoring where we'd hear how you got up, had a piece of toast, felt bad about Cindy dumping you, and how life isn't fair, how job interviews suck etc?
Well, not saying the people you suggested would be blogging like that all the time, but that's exactly what comes to mind. Please don't ban me.
See Ya George.

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.
Yeah, but if I were to do it everyone will be thinking I'm big headed and love myself. 'Why is he so important, he never has anything interesting to say' kind of attitude.
Or, the reverse could happen and everyone could start doing it creating a cluttered forum over all.
Not trying to advertise websites or anything, but I will like how GameDev.net handles journals - it's a seperate forum that's designed in a different way. They have a lot of cool features that VGChartz could 'borrow' such as member ratings (people rate members, so people can choose to ignore lowly-scored posters) and a GDNet+ account - a paid for account that supports the community and allows them access to certain features that can't be accessed by regular joes (normal members, for example, can't create journals, but they are allowed to comment other members journals).
