im thinking a 80GB LBP PS3 deal for $399 will sell alot.

Well yeah I dont expect them to bundle it as soon as the game comes out, but eventually and then long term is more what I'm looking at. I guess it doesn't affect me a whole lot because it's not like I'm going to buy another PS3, but still. I need more people to beat at the games I'm buying...hah.

Totally agree with the OP. This game is the right genre to appeal to most people and would be perfect as a pack-in. It might encourage me to buy the PS3. I don't mind the lack of bc on the current iteration of the PS3; what I do mind though is the lack of SACD playback on the new machines. I have limited shelf space on my AV and could do away with my DVD player if the PS3 still had the SACD support.

Yes. Sony should definitely bundle LBP. That way, that´s one game for me without having to pay for it when I buy my PS3.

Honestly, I didn't realize that problem existed. One good thing about the PS3 though is it's stability..not too many people have problems with them, so buying a used one isn't nearly as bad an idea as buying a used 360 (do those even sell or do they just throw them in the dumpster? er..jk). I think I recall someone saying they got a used 60 gig for $200? I think that's an amazing price, on top of say $60 for LBP and you've got one hell of a bargain.

If this game is bundled. Even I would have no choice but to buy it. (completing my tri-force of console gaming) Yay!

I don't see LBP lighting up the sales charts. I think it will be an extremely fun game and that it will sell well to the PS3's userbase, but I doubt it will bring in that many new owners.

I don't see casual gamers falling over themselves to buy a $400 system for a game that bases much of its potential on user-generated content and an internet connection. Add in the Wii and how people are still going nuts over it and I see LBP getting a collective "meh" from the casual crowd as they continue to ignore the PS3.

Still, I'm excited to play it. I think it will do well for itself with the type of crowd who hangs out on video game forums in their free time.

Seeing how Sony has liked doing bundles this Gen, im Sure this game will eventually be bundled, They will probly not do it this holiday season, like a poster already mentioned it, it will be till they game sells a few million on its own and is declining in sales, if sony is smart at all they should not make a limited special edition bundle like MGS4 but bundle it permanently like wii sports on the cheapest SKU... if there smart.
