wow, great site i did not know about thanks

Good news for Obama. We will see how much of a boost (and how much of a permanent boost) McCain gets after the convention. They Republicans seem to be taking a very "red meat" approach, lets see if it connects with the electorate.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

It's unfortunate that it is not more up-to-date ... There are several states which haven't been updated since July ... I expect that next week (since it is after both conventions) we will probably see a lot of polls in each state which may change the current position of each candidate.

Looking at that site, it looks like they're using the same (or similar) polling data as Electoral-Vote.com ... The differences between the two sites appears to be how they use the polling data to project the electoral college results.

tagging so I can look at some of these sites after work.

that myelectionchoices website was crap. You check the boxes of the statements you agree with, and each statement gives a point to either obama or mccain. Some statements are so general and blanket you'd be an idiot not to check them which is just free points for one candidate or the other. One on foreign policy was just "Iran shouldn't be alowed to nuke israel". Agree or disagree?? It doesn't say what measures should be taken to prevent it, just whether or not you think that would be bad in general, because apparently only one candidate thinks it's bad? I don't get it.

Alot of questions were dumbass things like that. We should work to improve or education! It's important that we improve our standing in the national community! I guess McCain things we should just flip off the rest of the world while screamin FU, and Obama thinks Iran should nuke Israel. That is such a flawed stupid test it's not even funny. I hope nobody actually bases their vote on that.
