Cast Away

If it wern't for Tom Hanks performance I don't think they could of pulled it off, they just made the movie seem so real and you feel bad for the character Tom plays, because of all the misery he goes through on the island, then he comes home to find his wife who had re-married, but right at the end someone finally give's the poor guy a break when he meet's that women that he was delivering the package to.

I think Wilson deserved an Oscar.

To answer the thread title question:
Among those movies I've seen there are easily more than hundred movies which I would call a masterpiece, so a list of these would take hours and hours of browsing through imdb (to make sure to remember all of them).
BTW: Movies which I would call masterpieces aren't necessarily those which are my favourite ones (Chaplin's The Gold Rush or Welles' Citizen Kane for example are masterpieces imo, but they are not among my favourites movies).

Instead I just copy and paste my personal top 10 (of the moment) from last week's thread about the same topic:

The Great Dictator
His Girl Friday
Blade Runner
Rear Window
The Band Wagon
Manhattan
La nuit américaine (Day For Night)
Some Like It Hot
The Godfather Part II
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

To tell you the truth, I was pretty tempted to take on that role, but considering the OP states "films YOU think" ,i cant really tell a person what they think is wrong. To say the least, there have been some shocking mentions in the thread which beg for it.
