I read your post, I understand. If it had failed we wouldn't have gotten the magic that is Halo 3. There are so many games that come to mind that we wouldn't have gotten. I don't want to imagine that world.

PS3 sales would be twice what they are. The feature list, and possibly the graphics on the PS3 would've been less than what we currently have. PS3 would continue to be the 3rd party console of choice (from a developer's standpoint), and I'd have $400 more bucks in my pocket. Also, if the mighty Microsoft had failed (and they didn't fail) I don't think any other company would've tried to compete anytime soon.

Nintendo would probably have remained uneffected, and still kicked ass this generation.

It did they never made a penny on the xbox (just on the games but not the system itself) they lost 4 billion on it and just now they're making some money but they made an impact on the in industry by bringing some new popular IPs. and a fanbase.
