I think 20 million by January would be fairly reasonable for sony to achieve.

Lets see... predictions... Last year p3 from 01/05/07 to 08/17/07 sold ( using vg charts data ) 3,041,510 Units, this is before price cut and a dry library of games ect

then from 08/17/08 to 01/04/08 Sold 4,753,112 Units, this is with price cut and somewhat better games, but nothing stelar much less a killer app, blu ray still fighting HD DVD, Xbox360 having its best games and killer apps being released in the fall ect.

Now from 01/04/08 to 08/16/08 Ps3 sold 5,728,533 Units,

Sooo by end of this year just going by these numbers and the progress the PS3 has made this year, ill say Between 21-23 mill, with a worst case scenario of 20 mill, best case 24 mill, just my two cents -.-

Man I have a bad feeling for the PS3 next week now. Threads predicting console will break XX million units have a long history of being wrong. Hopefully this hasn't jinxed the PS3.

With a new 80gb SKU out this week (and next week for some areas), sales should be boosted, so they should easily make the 15 million

 It will almost certain sell over 110k it needs to hit 15 million with the current numbers. An adjustment of the number downwards could make that number far larger though. I have seen this scenario play out for every console plenty of times.

I think between 20-22 fairly easily. 60% of sales come after August and the PS3 has sold over 6,000,000 this year according to VGChartz.

I think the PS3 will do very very well this holiday season. Some people may call me crazy, but I think it does stand a chance of hitting 9-10million sales from September on if LBP is heavily marketed/excepted.
