lol, "cryptic" statements? Let me bold this for you. Congress voted to allow President Bush to use Military Force to depose Saddam Hussein.

Sure, McCain isn't a Communist/Socialist. McCain didn't vote to support infanticide. McCain has more knowledge of the works of the world's politics. He understands Russia better. He will cut my taxes which will allow me to spend more and give more to charity. He will appoint Originalist Justices to the Supreme court (at least I hope). He is not friends with Bill Ayers. |
K. I can tear your argument apart in a matter of seconds.
John McCain supports public school systems. That means he's a socialist by your logic. John McCain voted in favor of embyronic stem cell research, which shows his earlier tacit approval of women's choice before he began pandering to the religious right by claiming he's pro-life. Unless you make a shit-ton of money, like million plus a year, Obama's economic plan will likely give you the bigger tax cut if you are middle class.
I'm not sure you think the definition of an originalist judge is what you think it means. And if you want to talk about a champion of the constitution, that man is Obama. The man taught constitutional law.
As far as the Bill Ayers thing.. ok... Obama links McCain to Abramoff, McCain links Obama to Ayers. The whole thing is retarded, and shouldn't be an issue against either one of them unless you are just desperately reaching for ANYTHING to not vote for the other.
By the way... did you know that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, and various other founders of our great nation were Marijuana smokers? Just a fun tidbit.

@ luinil, i am strongly opposed to the Iraq war, which Obama is in favour of withdrawl from (mccain seems to want to stay for longer) i also feel that people deserve equality, and Obama is in favour of universal healthcare and equal pay for men and women, i think these are all good policies for the leader of a country as powerfull as yours to have.
He didn't cause the death of a million people... Saddam started the killing, we tried to stop it. However, we didn't know that the iraqi's seem to need fear... because they can't be kept in line without it.. I agree now that we shouldn't have gone over there to begin with... since the new iraqi government seems to love to use us a a crutch. I say, pull out now, let them murder themselves. the end.
I hope you noticed how bitter I was. 50% of that is our government, who is driving our country into a debt we will never escape. The other 50% is that the country we are try to help isn't helping out the situation either.
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.
Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive
Ah, okay Rubang. We dislike him for pretty much the same reasons. I thought you might have some juicy info I wasn't aware of.

Excuse me but that statement is fukn stupid. Congress was lied to, the UN was lied to also. Don't you watch CSpan or read any newspapers? The Niger yellow cake thing was bullshit. The connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda was bullshit.
What Congress have done is continue funding the war despite all these books and all this evidence smacking them in the face.
You did hear there was an impeachment hearing like 2 weeks ago about crimes committed by the Bush Whitehouse?
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

What I would like is for those who want to vote for McCain to tell me what they think makes McCain or his policies better. Can you tell me why you think John McCain would make a better president? |
Things i find better?
Tax breaks.
John McCain for the middle class family around $2,700.
Barak Obama for the Middle Class family around $1,000.
(Though if his healthcare plan passes it will fine parents who can't afford healthcare when they go to hostpials. What people don't talk about is that it's the middle class and "higher poor" that can't afford healthcare by and large.)
Economics
John McCain, vows to stop earmarks and wasteful spending. Wants legislation that makes the congerss have 3/5ths approval to raise taxes. In otherwords it will keep needless spending down even more.
Barak Obama, wants to raise taxes and put up a commision that can take money away from oil companies because they deem they made too much money. (How would that even work?). Oil companies may be making too much money and doing a lot of profiteering. If so... stop them with laws. Not some random commison that can just take money away because it seems like they are making to much... that's just a poor precedent.
The taxes on big companies will mostly just get pushed down the line to the American people. Trickledown economics don't work often... but trickledown taxes work all the time.
The enviroment.
Barak Obama supports corn based ethanol. Which doesn't really have any enivormental benfits and is tagged by the UN as one of the biggest reasons for the global food crisis.
War in Iraq.
John McCain wants a slow withdrawl based on progress.
Obama wants a pullout based on a timetable yet says he'll go back in if the Iraqi's can't handle it themselves. This to me seems like a gamble that if failed could extend the war.
Foreign policy
John McCain wants a "League of Democracys" to discuss stuff... basically a new Nato
Obama says he will unilaterally send troops in soverign nations if it fits the US needs.
Things I find worse.
Abortion
McCain is Pro Life, while Barak Obama is "Semi-choice" believes in abortion but still believes abortion rights should be curtailed a bit.
So... McCain is better for the middle class, and better for the enviroment by the numbers. Though I suppose the rest is up for debate on how you feel about stuff.

Bush was lied to as well if you believe the reports.
All the main reports suggest it was Rumsfeld and G Gordon Liddy who were the ones behind everything.
Bush was either too inexpierenced or too happy to with what he saw to question it.

1)You tried and failed.
2a)Public schools are awful, but they aren't part of this debate. I don't have a choice in this issue this time. The biggest power I have on this issue is not with the President anyways, but rather with my Congressman. He might have been for embryonic stem cell research, but a person can change their mind on things and become enlightened. Early term abortion, while still horrid, is not infanticide.
2b)Obama will force the economy into a stand still with his tax policies. No new jobs will be created if the people with the money are not making any money on their investments (read: businesses). Taxes on corporations will go up and likely payroll taxes, THAT IS A TAX ON ME! Taxes on businesses are a misleading proposition. They will simply pass those taxes on to one of two groups, the employees/stock holders through lower wages/returns, or the customer through higher prices. These two things effect me directly as I work.
3)Obama would likely appoint judges in the vein of Ginsberg. Those types of judges are on the attack against the foundation of America. I didn't know he was a teacher! Link?
4)It just goes to show that he has no common sense in who he chooses to be friends with. His judgment is in question and it fails at so many levels.
5)What does this have to do with anything? Do you call Neal Boortz and Savage about that giving plant?

2a.) Whoa whoah whoah. No no, stop. Stop right there. You can't call Obama a socialist/communist without calling McCain a socialist. Support for any kind of public education of other public works is totally socialist. We do not live in a purely capitalistic society, and with good reason. I'm against communism as much as the next guy, but do not be so blind as to pretend we do not borrow the few things that do work with socialist societies. So either stop calling Obama a socialist or start calling McCain one. There's no way around this.
2b.) You know, the last time we had anything close to a fiscally responsible government was Bill Clinton's administration. A tax and spend democrat! No president has the power to put our economy in a standstill unless they're pouring hundreds of billions of dollars into a foreign war. I made that point before. Not even GW Bush could have stalled our economy if not for the war.
3.) You think Obama would appoint judges that would attack the foundation of america, I think Obama would appoint judges that would preserve our foundation. And at the University of Chicago, Obama was not a tenured professor or anything, but an adjunct and senior lecturer.
4.) And again, by your logic, it would go to show that McCain has no sense with who he associates with. The argument is lame against either one.
5.) I was just throwing it out there for funsies. You have no idea how many conservative tightwads will work themselves up to the point of physical violence when you tell them something like that, which goes against their indoctrination and revisionist histories.
