God of War II only dropped to $20 like two months ago. And Chains of Olympus has only been out half a year.

These games have plenty of time to keep selling...

The only reason GOWCOO didn't do very well was because of the PSP's small install base (when compared to the PS2). GOW3 may suffer from the same issue, but I think it will do much better than COO.

The game is going to fucking rule.

Actually....it's not a coincidence.

 

 

I agree, there are obvious reasons for the lesser sales (as others have pointed out), just as most series sell more when it is released on a new console (ie FF and GT).

It will sell well, but it wont be a system seller. Its not a huge game like MGS 4, Halo, Mario, Zelda, or GTA. Its sales are more along the lines of Tom Clancy games, Spiderman, or Call of Duty before the 4 th one came out (3-4 million PS2). COD 4 is in the league of Halo and Final Fantasy now( 8-10 million)

Hahahah, u don't know much about games!

1. GoW3 will be the first on a HD system and the PS3's first, [what.. u never thought of that?].

2. PS3 fans are starving for killer apps and there is much less SW to buy then what there was for the PS2.

3. Too many people and way too much anticipation for 3 not to sell well. It will easily beat the others in sales. I am thinking 3 mil.

4. Sequels rarely sell better on the same platform, look it up, nOOb.
