Forums - Sony - Well, I guess I'll have to buy another!

PSP, that is.

I've liked my psp ever since I've had it, but I've been running out of memory on my three year old 1 gb memory card.

And I saw this today:

"A second entertainment pack has also been announced called the PSP 4GB Memory Entertainment Pack. The will launch in November for $199.99 as well. It includes:

  • Piano Black PSP-3000
  • 4GB Memory Stick PRO duo
  • Everyday Shooter PSN voucher "

Okay, so I get a psp that is two versions newer than mine, a highly praised game, and the memory card I've been needing for the past couple months... sweet.

But what I want to know is would these things be cheaper if I just bought them seperately?

I know 4 gb memory cards have been down to 20$ lately.... and Everyday Shooter can't be more than 15$.. or 10$, whatever it is on PSN. And I can easily find a PSP-2000 system for 130$ or less.

But I mean, should I just get the bundle and not have to rely on a used system?

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... sell your PSP phat. and get it. It's an fantastic deal.

Not much improvement on the PSP itself (hardware wise, I was hoping for at least better battery), but the fact you are getting a better screen in the sun, and a 4GB memory stick from Sony is pretty sweet.

Meh.

I say find out exactly what's different about the 3000 before laying down 200 bones on it.

If there isn't anything significant, I would suggest just buying a 4 GB stick.

We'll miss you George.

I read about that enhanced LCD screen for outside use. It sounds pretty awesome, but I just bought a PSP slim. Guess I'll sacrifice a DS for this.

@strategy, Everyday Shooter costs like $10 and the memory stick costs around $20-30. I'm pretty sure the PSP-2000 will have a price cut when this one comes out, so buy it new. The PSP-3000 has an improved screen and a built-in microphone, if you care about that. If you don't care about those two things, then get a slim and buy everything seperately.
