What would be really offensive, and similar to the germans dislike of self reflected critisizm, would be to tease or satirize the fact that George Bush lied america into a war where 4000 americans have been killled and over 1 mill. innocent iraqis.

The question that is never asked honestly is why would somebody do this in the first place? Its a reasonable question isn't it considering its the worst pre meditated mass murder case in US history.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

That is in terrible taste.

...

Damn, I wish I had thought of it.

I can understand that it is a very sensitive subject but all those WOII shooters are also a very sensitive subject for the Germans=p.

Agreed.

However......that was over five decades ago...not that it makes it any less painful.

Ah, come on, shooting Nazi's is like an American national past time.  We'd do it every day if we could.

I give that post a 9.4.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

ehh.... very low brow no doubt but I've seen much worse and much more hatefull stuff out there in regards to 9/11.. plus even though stuff like this still gets my goat, its not like the Germans themselves haven't been mocked mercilessly in pop culture for what happened during WWII... here's just one example...

From the creators of Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman comes...

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

the thing was pulled, frankly it looked fun as hell. It was all motion based so you can swing your arms around and shot like 40 shots at once. Frankly i think if the media didnt blow it out of proportion it would have been fine. I;m fine with it. America really needs to move on.

You got it a little backwards man... the lego is offencive for people of jewish descent... it makes germans look bad but since germany did those horrible things we just have to live with this stuff... nazis can easily be made fun of here but we don´t make fun of what they did to their enemies... we have some kind of unwritten code on that...

I think this thread just proved that the Holocaust is still more serious business than the WTC bombing.

I think both are hilarious, because I'm not dead or a terrorist and I'm not a Jew or a Nazi.

I also like really evil jokes.

My favorite is the Hulkamania WTC pictures, or the DO A BARREL ROLL between them picture.
