That's a whole different subject on its own. Here's an example of what I got out of your analogy:
Microsoft paying another company to keep a game exclusive, like Splinter Cell Conviction. Which really doesn't have anything to do with the OP. I think that is shameful BTW.
An example of what i'm trying to say is:
Sony should be able to make the most innovative games for their console better than any 3rd party. Which is what the OP is talking about.
Look at Nintendo, their 1st party games are leaps and bounds more innovative than what 3rd parties have done on Wii.
