lol, the DS continues to kill the hopes and dreams of the console crowd.

If the N64 had this game library, I wonder if the Playstation would have taken off like it did.

Dont think it steals all sure it gets alot of rpgs but as time goes by all the other console will probaly get more too.

Around the Network

Looks to be using 3D instead of sprites. Then again, the DS has the best power of any system in that class.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

But it's the only system in it's.... oh.... I see what you did....

Clever, clever.

It actually looks really nice, but I would still rather have this on a TV.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Ooo, nice. It's looking good.

I'm about to jump into the first Suikoden relatively soon. There's just a few other gamsI nee to get off my plate first.

I'd actually recommend Suikoden II first.
That is if you're testing the waters if the series is worth your time.
If you're already dead set in playing the whole series, then by all means start with the first one.

Oh c'mon Zen. Take that kind of talk someplace else.
This is a thread for rejoicing about the announcement of a new Suikoden.

Quoted for the sad, sad truth.  I like DS, but I want more JRPGs on the TV.

The Suikoden series has always been about a great story with a small budget.
Suikoden IV and V already looked below average(for it's time) and unpolished(technically with lag and slowdown), moving to the HD era(or even with the Wii considering they we're already struggling with the PS2) would pretty much be extremely hard for the developers. From where I'm standing, going portable is the best move they could make.

I meant the class of systems in that power range, which includes the Saturn, N64, and PS1. The DS has the power of the N64, combined with the efficiency and easy of use of the PS1. That is what I meant.
