Ugh...I hate you Gamestop :( I want every Tales game to sell as much as possible so the series gets bigger (it's definitely worth it!) and more Tales games get localized (Tales of Innocence, I'm looking at you ).

The feeling is absolutely mutual. The Tales series has never got the recognition it deserves, and ****it I hoped Vesperia would fix that. it may be too early to tell though...

Symphonia is pretty recognized though.

I just wish more would get recognition...

Bah.

1) 500K isn't that recognized.

2)Abyss was better then Symphonia, and Vesperia is the best of them all, yet I don't know if it wil get the 1 million sales it deserves.

3) I'm talking about the tales series as a whole as well.

Granted, the people who have noticed Tales love it. But is should be MORE people.

@Red You do know thats your opinion right? I prefer syphonia to Vesperia so far. Though I didn't play abyss yet.

Anyway I'm afraid the only way the Tales series will become popular in the West is if they ditch the Anime style and lug in CG. Then make a supposedly "badass" main character. Yep just make it similar to Final Fantasy. Tales is popular though compared to most rpgs. Not Final Fantasy, DQ, or Pokemon popular, but still popular.  Which would be horrible for the series imo.

ToS is very popular in the US.  Talk to any gamer who ever had a Gamecube and ask them if they ever heard of ToS and you'll find that plenty of them have atleast heard of it if not every played it.  Also, Tales would be more recognized if Namco Bandai actually marketed the games like they do with their Soul Calibur games.  Come on Namco, would it kill them to actually try to make Tales more popular

1. What? Yes it is. Considering other RPGs not named FF/Pokemon barely get close to that in the US I'd say that's VERY recognized.

2. Opinion.

3. I know.

I think they're trying to get the series more popular in the West by using the CG in Tales of Hearts. Sucks the CG is ugly. Knowing Namco they'll likely release ToH in the West but pnly have us get the CG version while the Japanese get both anime and CG versions =/

*Prays ToH sells well*

Americans don't hate anime.  I am pretty sure many American teens like manga and anime.  Teens also make up like the majority of the RPG fanbase(correct me if I'm wrong).  I think the real problem is lack of marketing

I saw 5 copies of it in a Wal-mart earlier...
They had many consoles in stock aswell, plus a bunch of games.

 Wii: 80-85 Million end of 2009 (1.1.09)

What they need to REALLY do with this is bundle Tales of vesperia with the 360 in America. Honestly, think about it. Not only would it give ToV good sales, it would put Tales of vesperia on the map for this market. More people would play it, think its awesome, and bam. Tales gets bigger.

I might get this one.

I have a brother that is thinking about getting this game. Can anyone tell me how the 1-4 players work? And is it online or can it be done on the same console?

Thanks in advance.

It's same console. You control a second character in your party that is otherwise controlled by shortcuts an/or AI. It's offline only, same console. Well done.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Thanks, Zen. I´m tired of all those games that say 1-2 player on the back to find out later that is only online co-op (Mercenaries 2 being the latest).

Oh man; I'm about 1/2-2/3 way through and this game has not only had great pacing but the story just gets better and better. It hasn't let up at all!
