Either way Soriku, if it is indeed not packaged and does get a theatrical release, you don't see that kind of advertising (events leading up to the game) not making a significant impact on PS3 game sales when it will most likely launch shortly after the movie debut?

That article is talking about the same theatrical release from what I see.

It's going to be great on PS3 and it may finally get the sales it deserves. I predict 500,000 copies sold on PS3.

360 version sold 170k

Abyss sold 500k+ in Japan.
Legendia sold 350k in Japan.
Symphonia (JP) sold 320k in Japan. (GC)

Tales of Destiny sold 370k in Japan.

Tales of Rebirth even got to 600k in Japan.

The game is lacking at least 150k worth of sales I believe, then couple in that they just might pull in some new comers with the movie release.

Even if they do not watch it, it is advertising the game.

I can easily see the PS3 version selling 200k+ not to mention a possible bump in 360 version sales, although not as likely since it will be missing the extras at that time.
