That was the gaming market at that time, weather it was 2 or 3 other consoles they still controlled the market at that time.

PS2 controlled the market in their time but NES had more of the share in their time. Not to bring down PS2 but they just couldn't lock down the market like NES did.

Nintendo also didnt allow third parties to develop for NES if they developed for any other system.  With that and Nintendo losing a fair business lawsuit against the United States, Nintendo was a monopoly.

Well, if you look at it my way...

The X-Box and GameCube are DEAD. So the PS2 owns about... 100% of the 6th Generation right now.

... But of course my way is the jackass way.



Sony will prevail. My 60 gig says so.

It's interesting to note that there is no such thing as 6th Generation market share and 7th Generation market share. There is merely 2008 market share, 2007 market share and so on and so forth. Market share analysis only works over a specific time period, typically a month, quarter or year.
